I've been tossing this idea about for a while, just itching to use it in a PV.

Now, we all know there's a whole range of fabulous medicines available for the common cold. Back in the last few centuries, people came up with the most creative remedies. A single bottle of tonic could cure everything from fatigue to cancer. Of course those bottles usually contained high proof alcohol, heroin, cocaine, and other combinations of now illegal drugs. Nothing like a heroin addiction to make my cold seem better!

Anyway, for this PV, I want ya'll to make a medicine bottle label with bizarre ingredients. And you also have to incorporate old folk sayings about health. Like the "apple a day" saying. There's all sorts of fun sayings that are rather silly. Like many about putting on various layers of clothing or "you'll catch your death," or the old favorite about waiting an hour after eating before going swimming. And we all know about cod liver oil (my dad had some tales of that).

Bonus points if you can incorporate a live animal or the 1800's most successful cure for hysteria in women (I'm making you look that one up).

Judging will be next Saturday, though I may extend it to get more entries.

A little background on my entry...

Where I work, we make the certain *patches* that you see on the drug store shelves, and the pic I came up with was inspired by a convo at work with my co-workers. We were musing about how much $$ the company could make off of something like this, how we'd all maybe get paid what we're worth, and how all of us peons would certainly enjoy our jobs more by getting to *sample* the product. Plus, the company that fills our vending machines would absolutely love us.

gazorninplat: Something unknown, a thingy, a whatchamacall it of sorts.

MY Definition:
gazorninplat: The feeling of frustration one experiences when attempting to open a hard, completely sealed plastic casing, such as the packaging Walkmen, headphones, video game controllers, and other such things, with anything other than an industrial jackhammer.
