I think there used to be a trivia thread when I first joined SC, but I'm not sure. So, I'd like to start another. I don't want to bum people out with rules, so here are some "guidelines."

Ask any type of question in any subject. Don't get too raunchy, please.

Don't ask ridiculous questions like "What is Abe Vigoda's shoe size?" or anything personal or so unknown that no one can answer.

Don't Google or Jeeves or use another search engine to find the answer. Any idiot can do that. If you don't know the answer, let someone else have a crack at it.

The first person who answers correctly gets to ask the next question, so be sure to recheck the thread and verify ASAP. Got it? Great, I'll start things off.

I fairly sure it was written by Mike Post of Law and Order, Hill Street Blues and probably a hundred other TV show themes.

I think the guy who sang it was Joe Scarborough. I don't know if it's the same Joe Scarborough who went on to be a Hanity-wannabe on MSNBC. I seem to recall him being a short, stocky guy with a beard.

An odd bit of trivia on that Joe Scarborough. He used to come into a record store that I worked in in Florida. Very nice guy with an extensive jazz collection and he was good about keeping up with new music as well.
