I'm looking for an old 80's computer game called "Sink 'Em". It features a guy in a boat who sinks relative to you missing letters in a hangman type puzzle. You get three strikes and you're out.

Please someone find this game for me. I miss it. Some of you might have it lying around on a floppy disk somewhere, who knows.

I don't think this is what you're looking for...

Back in my day, we called 'em cigarette butts.

Here's a link to a similar online game called Stay Afloat, but I'm guessing you want Sink 'Em for sentimental reasons.

I'm looking for Sink 'Em more or less for my brother, though I would love to play that game again. My brother managed to find copies of our favorite games from growing up (we were the cool kids because no one else had computers at that time and these were the LAMEST games). But not sink 'em. We'd play that game for hours trying to get the guy to say all the different phrases programed into his variety. So, to add to my brother's collection and to prove to JESUSSANDWICH that the game DOES exist, but I'm still crazy anyway, I really want that game. I'm pretty sure I'll have to find someone who owns a copy of it, it's not on the internet. My "uncle" (an ex St. Louis city police officer who my father was friends with before he moved to Colorado) owns a copy of this game, but I have been unable to locate him, which is doubly sad because I was hoping he would be attending my upcoming wedding as well. If anyone lives in Denver and doesn't mind talking to complete strangers, you could help me track him down maybe?

I don't live IN Denver (and wouldn't want to) but I'm a mere hour away from it. And I don't mind talking to strangers since I am forced to do it every day.

There was once a man who said:"nothing is true!". Although later it was found out that he was lying.

His name is pretty common. In fact, it's Bob. Though he might go by Robert. And I don't know if the gay thing is something he's admitting yet. I found out by guessing... that's a story in itself. Anyway, I didn't hear it from him... yet. So you'd have to call all the guys with the common first name Bob, and his common last name, which I won't list here for privacy reasons, I think there's about 30 or so in Denver... ask if they used to be an officer in St. Louis and if they know my dad, whose name I also won't mention here for privacy reasons.

I was like 8ish. I don't even remember what it looked like. However, I remember DOS and some DOS commands. I also remember when BBSes were around. A friend of ours worked in a computer company and got us cheap new computers. The envy of my trailer park, I was.

Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.
