so, here's the second ever Special Event Comic Exhibition. it has to do with Mentski(!)

yes, back in the day (apparently; i wasn't here yet) there was a stripper named Mentski who wrote a wonderful (!) series called MOHH OMLO AND HIS "AMAZING FREINDS" [sic], in which every strip ended with the skeleton saying "moh!" on the apocalypse background, for no apparent reason. don't believe me?

now, Mentski's work was often imitated (read: ridiculed), but never duplicated--until today, that is. the objective of this SECE is to pay homage to this SC hall-of-famer by extending his already vast legacy.

the rules? try to keep the episodes in numerical order (that means read this thread immediately before making the strip so you'll know what number we're on), and use the original, misspelled title as your own:

MOHH OMLO AND HIS "AMAZING FREINDS" Episode (current number)

make sure the skeleton says "moh!" and nothing else, on the apocalypse background, in your final panel--the rest is up to you.

in keeping with dr. k's original SECE vision, there will be no judging, no time limit, and whoever wants to start SECE3 can do so on the slightest whim, for whatever reason. now, i'll lead us off:

The story behind Mentski is that he is a longtime regular poster to a newsgroup called alt.digitiser , dedicated to the uk teletext games magazine of the same name. They also have an IRC channel somewhere. I used to post to it years ago when it was full of witty banter, but it soon fell foul of the dreaded injoke, with people spouting gibberish like "Moh" and talking in l33t. He has a site at www.mentski.co.uk I think.
