I've been studying to take the GMAT for the past two weeks. I'm taking the test tomorrow. I took today off to concentrate on the math parts that have been giving me trouble.

When all this is over I am going to send Tobor to cornhole whoever came up with these questions.

We have a really sweet deal on the MBA if I make it in. Not only will I get my tution reimursed (based on my grades) but it is being offered on-site at work. The downside is that all of us (about 12 who have applied) have to take the same courses. But in terms of balancing work, home, and school it makes it very convenient. Plus, it's a very good school.

My uncle is a geologist and he once confided in me that all the chemistry and math that's required to become a geologist is pointless because no one uses it anyway. Usually any equations are given to grad students to figure out and they'll just use calculators and other computer programs anyway.

I had already avoided the math and chemistry requirements for the past ten years, now I really don't want to do it.

My mother once spent a long time berating me for getting a C in calculus and an A- in statistics. I found her old college transcript in a stack of folders and discovered she failed calculus and statistics. That was right before she changed her major to history. Who the hell fails statistics?

My dad can do complicated algebra, trigonometry, and geometry equations in his head. He's a mutant.

My wife still gives me a hard time because I earned my Computer Science degree without taking Calculus. But got an engineering degree from WPI, so she's a bit of a math snob.
