Yes*
You can fully shoot home invaders all you want, but the problem is hiding the corpse.
*Seriously though, legally it comes down to "appropriate force" regarding stopping criminal acts of any kind in the UK.
My gran would more likely get away with shooting a couple of burglars with my grandad's old WW2 revolver, than I would even just jiu-jitsu-ing the fuck out of some c*nt and duct-taping the sucker who I found trying to get in my window a few months ago, say. You have to answer a lot of questions. Bastrads.
Google "Tony Martin UK " for what not to do regarding shooting a "home invader" in Britain.
Google "Rhys Jones" for what we feel about firearm crime in general in the UK right now.
What makes you ask, AA?
we used to have that problem, i.e. you had to prove your life was in immediate danger by a gun wielding intruder before you could use deadly force (unless you had a throwaway pistol at your disposal...) or it would go to investigation, sometimes resulting in the prosecution of the homeowner who the courts deemed wasn't in immediate danger enough to shoot someone forcibly entering their home.
i could be explaining this much more concisely, but i'm a bit tipsy.
what i mean to say is that until very recently, in ohio, you had to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that your life was threatened by a GUN wielding intruder in order to shoot him without worrying about possible prosecution. or a wrongful death civil suit even if you escaped criminal charges.
now however, if someone enters your home through force or is in your home illegally and you catch him, you can just shoot his ass dead and not worry about it whatsoever. you're good to go.
which is the fucking way it should be. amen.
i hope someday your british legislators realize this and correct the law, just as ohio lawmakers did recently.
