If you are using Netscape, you can download Internet Explorer 5.5 for either a WIN or Mac rig for free at MSN.com and then come back and make comics.

Don't feel bad for being a newbie. Everybody was a newbie once at everything. If your English skills aren't so hot, don't worry. A lot of people here write comics in various European dialects, all of which have ASCII character support in the dialogue and narration panels.
