Hi, I am aware of the recent anti-newbie trend. But I hope you guys understand.. I've only made one comic so far, enjoy.

Could you explain the joke to me there? A gay man hits on him and he goes "Faget!". And that's it? And that's supposed to be funny?

And you could learn to spell "faggot."

Two points:

1. The anti-newbie trend isn't new.

2. There really isn't an anti-newbie trend. Just a trend against newbies who aren't funny.

It is quite a disturbing trend that people seem to think strips like that are funny. You know the sort of thing:

Bloke1: I'm so gay!
Bloke2: U=FAGOT
Bloke1 Goes on fire and says "Ah! I am dieing!"

As far as I can remember I have only made 2 gay joke strips, and this is the better one:

My first strip was a gay joke, but it's really more of a character thing...

[Click to view comic: 'Neal and Roger, Sitting in a tree...']

I haven't done any specifically gay jokes since... unless you count Tobor comics as gay jokes. In which case, I've done a disturbuing number of gay jokes.

hey, kramer_vs_Kramer.
before I insult you, I read most of your strips and they are the worst fucking things I have ever read. It makes wonder what kind of retard doesn't understand my strip. it's very plain and simple. You explained it yourself and you still want me to explain the strip for you. I even spelled Faggot wrong, did you pick that up. And look at that you spelt it wrong to. I'm not saying mine is funny, but gay jokes are still in and will always be. Your strip 'fistmaster' is not funny. You HOMO.

Amazing how that works.

Speaking of which, kramer... want to be my partner in the NEXT Tag Team cup (if there is one)? Having my partner no-show on me makes me want to line up a good partner now. Not that I would have won with my single lame entry... but it's the principle.

That, plus after competing in CC6, it would be cool.

Yes, well, typos are par of the course with me. But I do know how to spell and punctuate, unlike some people.

Read all 200 of them, did you? At least you're thorough. I hold my hands up and admit I'm a bit lax with the quality control. But the worst thing you've ever read? At least that can be used as evidence that you didn't proofread your own strip.

I was wondering, nay hoping that there was some hidden meaning to it, that is was funny on a level beyond my understanding. Yet it looks like you're admitting that the joke is purely on the level of "Ha ha you're gay". Oh how very mature.

And what if I am?

BTW Fuzzy, count me in for the next tag team cup. I promise I won't do a disappearing act.

And hopefully Wolfgang'll promise that he will.

Gay jokes may or may not be funny, but you would have had more success if you had actually put a joke (gay or not) in your strip.

This is not to dissuade you from doing more strips. Keep trying. If you do something funny, you will get kudos and genuine appreciation... trust me. But do something lousy and you'll get criticism... constructive and otherwise. Especially if you do something crappy and present it as God's gift to stripcreator.

Yes, your comic is plain and simple.

Jokes are in. Funny is in. Laughing like the piano man from "Refer Madness" out of the blue when someone misspells faggot is just, well, plain and simple.

I hope this has been helpful.

Dude, make some more comics. This one was good, but things can only get better (or worse) from here. Should you stay in a rut and not get more kick ass, or start sucking (at comics, not men) I'll be forced to kill you. There must be funny things cooking in that arrowsmith ridden brain of yours, so it's your duty to show the world.(especialy those butt-buddies known as Kajun Firefly and Kevin Keegan's Perm, those fucks are funny but not ha-ha.)

So it's gay jokes that tickle the old funny bone around here. Check out "Krochsniffer" and I'll let all you decide if it is shall we say "Ha ha funny" or just simply bollocks.

Kudos.

Hey, let's be honest here...

Fuzzyman's first strip made me just about piss myself laughing. As I recall, he is the only person who got on my favourites list after I read just their first strip. We all make clangers at times, but Fuzzyman has a remarkably high hit rate.

As for those I don't find so funny, let me think... Skagg's strips don't do much for me, though he, like all the regulars on the site, periodically comes up with strips that make me laugh out loud. Our senses of humour differ. *shrug* Nothing to do with him being a newbie.

Oh, I added fuzzyman to my list when he was still very much a newbie, so your newbie-bashing paranoia is pretty much baseless. I object primarily to fuckheads, and you, Wolfgang, are definitely one of those.
