Net Zero is arse, yeah. AOL, while it does suck, offers me 610 kbp/s downspeed DSL at my winter digs and a dial-up on the island the rest of the year for a reasonable price. It's also portable. I can use it anywhere. They also need a credit card, though, so it's not a good choice if you're without one.
I am trying to ditch AOHell this summer because the island has wireless broadband now. If I can just convince the company to let the nice folks at CoastalWave.net drill some holes the wall of the company condo.
You might want to try NetZero or Juno for now until you can upgrade or Google FREE ISP and shop there.
