There are two types of people in this world:
1)Those of us who just got back from seeing They Might Be Giants in concert
2)The rest of you sorry fuckers.
Neener.
It was about time. I've been a fan for over 10 years, and have *almost* seen them 3 times. Something happened each time to prevent me from actually seeing them. I was sure something would happen this time, too.
Not only did nothing happen to prevent me from seeing them, but I got autographs from John Flansburgh and two of the other musicians in the group, both of whom are named Dan.
Opening for TMBG was Mucka Ferguson. They have been shown on Premium Blend on Comedy Central doing "MC Speller". The rest of their stuff is even better. I bought their CDs and got autographs from all three of the group members on their new CD.
Pretty kickass night for someone who came home early from work because she was feeling sick. I'm glad I already asked for tomorrow off. I need to recuperate.
At this time , id like to announce just how much i hate you and wish that youd become involved in a very unpleasant accident with a combine harvester.
Ive been a TMBG fan for about 12 years , and , being a brit , they dont play concerts here.
While in the US a couple of years back , i was SUPPOSED to go catch one of their concerts when they played in PA , but the now ex-girlfriend's car broke down coming home from work that day.
And oh how i felt like an outboard part of man that day.
