It does when they've demonstrated an intent to do us harm and they are sitting on a quarter of the earth's oil supply.
Since 9-11 we've learned that's not enough to deter an attack.
Note the phrase "appears". Also since 9-11 we've learned we can be hit from a group operating in a nation with no weapons or military to speak of.
I said none of the current governments of these countries has invaded another. Hitler isn't still in power.
Canada was part of Britain then, the country with which we were at war.
Great logic.
What about support for terror?
That's never been part of my argument for war, to get Saddam's WMDs.
I've very plainly laid out my stipulations for going to war, none of which included WMDs. Who are you talking to?
I think it's a bit of a stretch to say that the Taliban hit America. They provided shelter to al-Qaida, who were the ones who attacked America, but that's it.
Taliban was the government and al Qaeda was their weapon. The weapon owned the government though. Not blaming the Taliban seems inordinately silly. You'll note the U.S. didn't share you attitude.
I've said that 9-11 demonstrates that the basis by which a nation could pose a tangible threat to us has changed, and in that respect Iraq then seemed to pose an unreasonable danger to us under Saddam.
When you want to actually talk about my points, and not points you make up, I'll still be here.

It amazes me, as it did in 2000, that the election could possibly be so close.
I know people are generally stupid, but it worries me that 45% of the people think Bush is just great. Just what are these people smoking?
More like what are they not smoking, hippie.
boorite:
So you've taken my convention of typing someone's name followed by a colon and then responding. If I'm right about that, what else am I right about?
I like how liberals feel the need to claim all the smart people are in the Democratic Party. Really stupid people don't vote. Also the polls fuzzyman is talking about are of likely voters, which is about 50% of the population. So you're talking about .47 of .5 of the population. Stupid.
And Kerry isn't fooling anyone because he's obviously the real deal. And since when were you stupid if you had a degree from Havard?
:l
mikeyg:
Great point, Gabu. Spot-on.
Hey, idiot, during the War of 1812 we were fighting the British. Canada was a part of the British then.
And Hitler is dead.
You fucking moron.
