My ISP is having the most annoying problems I've ever encountered. It sucks when it's down, or back when I had a dial up and I'd get a busy signal, but for the last few days the service has been going on and off every few seconds.

I'll get a page or two to load, then click on a link, then see that it's down. It's like there's some moron somewhere, flipping a big switch up and down and laughing to himself. If crappy worked for an ISP I'd be suspicious.

It was the depression era, so people were conserving their letters. But there was this one feller, folks called him Al, his real name was Theodore Gossamer Jones, but again, it was letter-saving days. So, Al comes to this here thread and says, "Me like thread. Let build up." So, three years, and two million dollars later, this thread was built in all its majesty. In reality, it never would have been erected (teehee) at all, except that when Al asked the construction company how much it would cost and got the depression phrase of two doll, he thought he had a steal. His is a sad life really, being a mutton tamer, he would have had to work hard to raise the two dollars, let alone two million. (During the depression folks weren't too keen on spending money on trivialities, even time-honored and respected trivialites such as mutton taming.) So to pay his debt he had to sell his wife of thirty years into slavery. Then he held a fundraiser for the other $1,999,995.00. But I digress.
