I have several questions.
#1) How was Saddam a threat to the United States if there was no WMD and there was no provocation?
#2) How could this be called a humanitarian effort when Saddam, as evil as he is, was allowed to commit genocide during our support, and since he has become less homicidal (although still evil), we want him out?
#3) While Saddam Hussein has posed a threat to the world and to his own people, his campaign against the Kurds, which began in 1988 and resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Kurds in Northern Iraq, is surely just cause to prosecute Saddam for human rights abuses. If the United Nations Security Council were to establish an International Criminal Tribunal for Iraq (which has been done successfully in the past), Saddam could be brought to justice without war. Instead of lobbying countries like China, France, and Russia, who have strong economic ties to Iraq, to aid in the forming of such a tribunal, we presented 'evidence' as to the reasons for our planned invasion. Why?
