It's just that squid is doing a pile of new art now, apart from just holiday stuff, and I think he will soon have more than enough to warrant his own "squabies" art category. He was too modest to think of it, but I'm suggesting it anyway.

I know the strip code used to have image URLs embedded, so it would take a global search and replace in the database to move art, but you've optimised the code a lot since then, and I thought it might be easier now.

Of course, you could always have two copies of fishhand on the server, but remove the indexing for the submitted folder version so only the squabies folder version shows up in the make.php menu...

*shrug*

Anyway, here is squab's most legendary new fireman. This guy fucking [u]rocks[/u]. Squab is also working on a couple of other poses to make him a bit more flexible, as well as a gush of water from the hose for the props category.

Now, be honest, how cool is this guy?

Update: An axe version (rather than a hose) has been drawn, and I am doing the resizing and transparency now.

Even if someone else DID develop a decent system to make comics, he/she could never keep up with brad at this point. Brad's kicking ass with the character adding and taking names with the background adding, then he chews some bubble gum just for good measure with the new features.

I tried adding the news desks, but the color of the desk in the modified ones doesn't match the color of the original desk so it looks a bit wonky.

And I'm not sure the colored pencil images really fit on Stripcreator.

I think my computer just doesn't like graphics and imaging programs, otherwise I would have cleaned up some pencil drawings and done a color fill. I'd ask for public opinion, but it's up to you. If the consensus is no, I'll battle my computer for dominance and try to make more suitable ones.

These are the little full-body versions. I am going to do some bigger "closer to camera" versions of the same poses, with his feet cut off, for use with other characters with no feet.

Damn this guy took a long time... first time I ever tried drawing an SC.com character fully on the PC, as my scanner is currently out of action. All in all, I think he's pretty cool, but the close-ups will bring out more of the detail I put in.
