Like I said, I'm done discussing the whole NastyPope insult rule hullabaloo. However, that thread contained a request to get a second chance. Skagg's request could be met with the comment that he continued to dig himself into a hole since the first moment I found him to be a disappointment... but for the sake of peace, I'll let those I dislike start at square one right this moment. My hypothesis is that the people who rubbed me the wrong way before will do it again.

So starting now, I am going to pretend that I never talked with skagg or crabby or any of the other people who made my skin itch. I'm not asking skagg or crabby to do anything other than be who they are, but this is a brand new chance to make a first impression, and it will be interesting to see what comes of it.

I thought about that when I said it. I thought about not saying it, but to deny the thought would be to suppress it and therefore allow it free access to my unconscious. By confronting it, I believe I can figure out what it will influence and prevent that.

In all actuality, skagg and crabby will have it working in their favor since I will be giving them the benefit of the doubt.

bunnerabb, I would not have said anything about second chances, except for the fact that skagg asked me for a second chance, in just so many words. I was satisfied to continue to dislike him, but he asked a favor, and I chose to grant it. It has nothing to do with supremacy or rule or anything like that. It has to do with fulfilling a request and trying to be fair about it.

I've held myself back from commenting at all on the Deisel situation for two reasons. The first reason is that I know that attention is what he's looking for, and his attempts for it have been feeble at best. The second reason is that I know I'm getting a reputation for being harsh with people, and I'm trying to cut that down. I find it ironic that the person who told Deisel to "shut the fuck up" is getting on my ass for the way in which I interact with people.

As for melodrama, no one else felt it necessary to jump in on the thing between me and skagg. For melodrama to thrive, it requires participants. You just helped to create what you decry.

I'm planning on going back to playing in the contests. I'm also going to continue to have opinions and share some of them. If you have a problem with that, write to your congressman.

Hey, here's an idea - maybe it would be best to keep it to yourself if you don't like other regular forum users, mainly because this is meant to be fun, and by bringing up your own personal gripes with people you really don't even know you are bringing the mood down considerably. LadyJ, if you don't like skagg, then why don't you just ignore him? I don't need to hear about it, I think skagg could do without it, and I am pretty sure it doesn't exactly brighten up the days of the rest of the forum users, either. If you have some kind of problem with another user, I think it is up to you to deal with it.

I have been ignoring him. I've been ignoring him and crabby. I opted to abstain from voting in one case rather than speak about how much skagg annoys me. I only mentioned my dislike for them as a point of reference for the whole NastyPope situation because if I had said "I'm kidding when I poke fun." I'd have been LYING. I do not lie. I have backed off. SKAGG asked ME to give him a second chance.

I cannot think of anything more hypocritical than people chiming in to opine that I should keep my opinions to myself.

Hey ya'll I'm back from vacation. Incase anyone cares.

It's great to see LadyJ giving me a second chance, I've always been a big fan of her work. However I was unaware of the fact that we were on the outs at all. While I've always considered our relationship to be strictly buisness I always thought we shared some laughs.

However I was mistaken. I hope that LadyJ continues to put out posts and comics that live up to her high standards of excellence. I also hope one day we can look back at this whole situation and laugh.
