Here's an article for anyone who loved/liked the animated series "Family Guy."

Short Version:

"Family Guy" will return to the airwaves in January 2005. It's still undecided if the series will appear on FOX where it originally aired or on Cartoon Network where it developed a loyal following and its highest ratings.

Creator and voice actor Seth MacFarlane states that his team has about 35 episodes ready to roll.

Personally, I think FOX will retain its rights and show the new episodes on at least a first-run basis. I mean, what else are they going to show? Maybe by now they've learned that they need to leave the show in one time period after killing it the first time around. By the end of the second season, promos for the show were pretty much nonexistent (FOX was pushing "Futurama" more heavily) and even rabid fans like myself were hard-pressed to find out what time and what night the new episdoes were airing. If FOX is smart, they'll make some money on the show this time around. As baby Stewie said, "You shall wipe my crevasse and be damn grateful for the opportunity!"

Holy crip, it's a crapple!

The Family Guy was one of my favorite shows. I've got seasons 1-3 on DVD and can't wait to see more. Were there more before it got cancelled? I haven't owned a TV in about five years so I'm kinda out of the loop. I still get hefty doses of network programming via my DVD player though, which I find much easier to swallow. No commercials, no waiting... I saw the entire first season of The West Wing in less than 24 hours. It was great.

Apparently Seth MacFarlane has already been working on a brand new series as well. So maybe we'll be able to get two series by him.

It'd also be interesting to see what Matt Groening will come up with, now that he's done with The Simpsons and Futurama was canned.

That show really DOES need to come back. Some of the crap they get away with on that show is even more outrageous than South Park. It's hysterical.
