Why is it that Americans are the only major country with all of the currency being one color?

We've found that it's so hard to counterfeit the paper that most people have been taking smaller American bills, and changing them to look like bigger bills. Now that our currency will be multicolored, it will be far harded to remove the ink and recolor the paper to try and change the denomination.

Plus, at a simple glance you'll know what the bill is.

I've actually argued a few times in my life with a cashier that I just handed them a $100, and not a $10. With colored currency, you don't have that problem.

I still say our money is starting to look like it could be shredded up and sprinkled over a gay pride parade.

At least our bills are still all the same size. Though, different sizes worked for our coins!

I prefer to have the different coloured bills. It makes things about 10 billion times easier when you're too lazy to really look at the writing on the bill. I do, however, wish that we didn't have all of our crazy change (generic stuff then the fun loonies and toonies). But anyway, I like how UK money (pound and/or pound stirling) ups the size with the monetary value, as well as colours. They were trying to make their money system idiot proof I think... but did it really work?

And make the $1 white and the $50 blue and the $500 orange, and put little choo-choo trains on the money, and only allow people to build houses if they own the whole street (better yet, make it three streets with the same color pavement), and let mass-murderers out of jail if they pay $50, and cut taxes to $200 for everyone and make parking free, and when the grand opera opens, everyone on the planet pays you $50, and you have to travel around the neighborhood in a large thimble.

I like the choo-choo train idea. I think the money should be shaped like choo-choo trains, and instead of just handing it to the salesperson when you pay for something, you can make it go across the counter toward them and say "Here comes the choo-choo train! CHOO-CHOO!" and you could turn paying-for-stuff time into playtime.
