I will concede that is it possible that the camera and memory card survived, but I still can't imagine it being very likely. Something as small as a camera? I would imagine that would be somewhere in the middle of the ocean, at the bottom by now.

But, hey, weirder things have happened.

Lots of weird shit survived the WTC collapse too; Watches, portfolios, framed photographs, briefcases... even laptops. It's not out of the realm that these photos survived the tsunami. They don't look fake to me.

I would figure that water would somewhat destroy the circuitry in the cards. I dunno. Could be real.

If not, I imagine it's just a really lucky shot of a nice sized wave. It's also possible that it's completely real, but that the story behind it is sensationalized. I can see that.
