There's a lot of other stuff out there that I could think of, but mostly I listen to metal these days. I don't own much rock, sadly. It's just that I can hear most rock on the radio.

though i know most do, i think its a stretch to call the beatles a rock band. they had some rock songs but they were a rock n roll band. thats why they shouldn't always compare the beatles and the stones. apples and oranges

I can't believe DX is the only one here who said "Queen". They have some really powerful stuff. I can't think of a single song of theirs I don't like (except Bicycle Race). Queen aside, I also like the Stones, the Offspring, Metallica, Chiaroscuro (thanks to Nasty), Less Than Jake, Blindside, Iron Maiden, Led Zepplin, The Who, The Beatles, and even the Beach Boys (they were rock, right?)

I've usually heard the beach boys called "Surf Rock", so I think that's fair.

One thing, I'm sure many of you noticed I didn't list any metal bands in my short little list. That's because I seperate Rock, Punk and metal. Sure, metal and punk are essentially rock-based, but they do take a slight diversion but one that's significant enough to consider them not rock anymore.
