And Darth Maul's not the second dumbest thing in Star Wars. There's tons of stuff worse. Jar-Jar, Anakin's acting, "Yippee!", Jar-Jar, the ending to the new one, etc.

Personally I just thought it was dumb to give him so little screentime then kill him off at the end of the flick making him nothing more than a throwaway movie villian... ...that doesn't say much.

the only thing that saved Episode I was the kid they got to play Anakin and that fight scene with Darth Maul. i remember when the Duel of the Fates music came on i thought FUCKING FINALLY. too much politics in that first one

it was stupid he died after one movie. especially because he would have kicked Obi-Wan's padawan ass
