Aaaaaand Scene!
This was phreaky's idea...an instant contest with a short entry time and no advance notice of the rules. It's a good idea, and we should do it more often. Here's what Phreaky, Kaufman, Brad, and I came up with for ideas. Let us know what you think and I'll announce the next contest in advance for anyone who would like to participate.
--Advance notice of the day and time for the next contest
--Varrying times for the contest to give daytime, nighttime, and international users a shot at playing
--Unlike Kaufman, who did not want to create controversy during this time of contemplation and atonement, the person running the contest will announce a winner, who will make the next contest.
--The winner of the last contest announces rules and a very short timeframe for entries. I liked Kaufman's 30 minute timeframe. Phreaky was thinking along the lines of 10 minutes.
--Brad liked the idea of the contest and thought he might support it with a banner at the top of the forums announcing the next contest day/time.
--We thought once a week would be a good frequency for this contest. If it happens every day, it could burn out quickly.
What do you guys think? Since this was a warmup, I'll run the next one on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. PST taking your suggestions into consideration. If you want to join, check out the More Comic Competitions forum at that time.
