You know I really love this site.

I've been coming to this site for a little over 4 years and have over 800 comics. Like anything else the forums really had their ups and downs. There was a time awhile back when alot of SC.com has gone downhill threads were popping up and for the most part I agreed with them. I went a long while inbetween posts and comics and just sort of lurked around and hung out in IRC chat. It became a place that I just didn't think was very fun anymore. However, lately With all the new art and actually getting to know some of the newer users I remember why I fell in love with this site in the first place. If I could I would marry it.

There are certain things which reall brought me back to loving this site:
Brads work on adding new art and backgrounds. Brad is a classy classy man.
The return of DexX was a beautiful thing. His hatred of me when I first showed up really made me want to get better as a comic creator.
BigFrank, who is hilarious just in general. He offered to help me out when I thought I needed a new car and he has really funny girl stories.
Biped for being hilarious.
Cpausti and jesussandwich for being in IRC so much and making tag team comic series with me.
shank who has one of the greatest forum personas and also for sending me a bunch of naked pics of chicks online.
phreaky and noonie for being lovely.
Jesly for doing my homework that one time and for always being in IRC.

I could go on and on. I also thought it was great to see all the SC users in attendance at Chicka's wedding. I thought that was a beautiful thing. Hopefully, when I get married there will be some sort of SC contingent to sit in a corner and drink and make snide remarks about everyone. I'd love for Kajun's sell out ass to be a groomsman. I was driving home today and actually couldn't wait to get home to check the forums to see what I had missed while I was gone. I just wanted to take a moment and just thank Brad for creating my favorite website and for continually working to make it a better place. Also, to thank all the people who make this site so enjoyable.

haha, i wasnt going to read this thread, but i decided to.

and it's about damn time someone respects my unusual forum behaviour and obsession with making myself look for and more like a wigger even though i dont own anything other than a hat i can put on backwards. i need some fubu shit.

and bigfranks girl stories are hilarious...but it started getting old when he'd message me on msn and threaten to kill himself because the girl he met wont suck his wang.

Though yes, I share a lot of crabby's sentiments. This is a cool site full of cool people, and I can safely say it's shaped who I am today.

When I first came here, I was your typical 13 or 14 year old (I can't remember). Immature, loud, and perverted as hell. Anyone who remembers me from when I was still going to the IRC will vouch for that. However, as I grew older the people who I've met here have changed the way I think, and changed the way my soft teenage brain has developed. SC has made me who I am today, and I would be a very different person if I never followed up on that link printed in a backissue of GameNow.

Though I may not look it sometimes, I really have matured. Here are some people I'd like to thank for that:

BigFrank105: He was the first guy I ever met on here, and he's still my closest SC companion. I honestly don't know why he puts up with my shit sometimes.

DragonXero: We don't agree on some subjects, but I have to credit him for getting me into good current metal. I thought it was all died off when the 90s began, but he certainly showed me wrong. Thank you.

Tawmdee, Okay, TheBigJE, and other hated "alternative strippers": I hated Schlong, kon, and pornography when they first arrived and were quickly banned. However, some amount of months later when I read comics by the more recent guys listed above, I was amazed by how funny I found it and even more amazed by their low ratings. Their style of creating has changed my own, and my hobby of writing fiction was drastically altered when I realized just how little rules you have to follow in the world of art.

There are really so many guys I love and wish I could mention here, but I have school tomorrow and so I'd better get some sleep. Thanks for putting up with my comics, everybody. I love you all.

It's grime time.

I want to thank gabe for explaining to me by my second post that wirthling sucks. After that everything made sense. But then came the blackouts when lowpass went down. Hard times on the frontier, old chums. We had to photoshop our own comic contests! None of this fancy 1, 2 or 3 panel choices with character views. Oh no!

But I digress.

I was an old coot when I found the place. Can't say it changed my life. But I can say it is one of the more enjoyable and genuine places in cyberspace. It's even more genuine than I had planned on getting into. Here you guys go out and meet each other and share a drink and get arrested and everything. I just wanted something to do as I wound down before bed or during lunch at work.

All ya'll that meet and hug are the pioneers. I'm just a pan handler in a claim off to the side. Nice place you got here.

areallystupidguy: again, the first guy i really met here when I too was just getting to know the site. I really liked his comics and he's just an awesome dude in general. One of the most genuine dudes out there

crabby AKA crabs: i seriuosly hated this guy when we were having the packers/bears and sox/cubs scuffles but I grew to love him as much as anyone. We're going to do a BBQ one of these days and it's going to be awesome.

cpausti: funniest newbie here, although he's not much of a newb anymore... hm. We can still share our love of Scottsdale.

chicka: She gave me tips on how to dress once.

biped: for carrying on extremely insane conversations with me

injokester: my favorite aussie, and another one of my good friends from this site. Simply amazing. And his Lindstrom comics are not to be missed.

boinky: for providing endless laughs even in his absence.

I'm sorry I left in a fit of anger. It was one of the dumbest things I ever did, and I did a lot of seriously dumb things when my depression was at its worst.

I have been involved in a LOT of online communities over the years, but none have come within spitting distance of the amazing quality of people on SC.com. I don't know what it is about the site that attracts such a great crowd...

I suspect it has something to do with the personality requirements of good strip-making: a sense of humour, an appreciation of other people's diverse senses of humour, a reasonably sharp mind, a flair for storytelling, and also a love of all the subcultural things that go along with comics in general.

You are a weird bunch of people, and that's probably what I like most about you.
