I'm a beer snob too, sticking to the West Coast style of overly hopped IPA's and Belgian-style craft beers mostly. That's what makes going to stadium events so frustrating--when I was handed what I was told was a Stella, that was as highbrow as Qualcomm Stadium gets since the beer franchise is controlled by Budweiser.
When I went to Wrigley Field, I didn't even drink inside. My friend drank Old Style Light because he figured it would taste the most like water and least like the awful beer selection they have there. Sorry, Crabby, I know you're a Cubs fan, but the White Sox at least had Pilsner Urquel on tap (which is very dodgy over here--sometimes it's good, but usually it's an old keg. I try to only drink that beer close to the source).
Both our stadiums used to serve Stone, which is an awesome microbrew here in San Diego with a true commitment to producing excellent craft beer. Now it's nearly impossible to find quality beer at either park.
