For three years, I was plagued by calls from bill collectors looking for the deadbeat who used to have my phone number. Add to that the political calls I was getting and the phone was ringing up to 12 times a night. I discovered this trick and got rid of them all in 3 days by adding the disconnected line tone to the beginning of my answering machine greeting. Not a single call in the last month.

My husband and I are currently starting the process of buying a house.  I'm excited, he's indifferent.  So we'll either get a house that I love and he's indifferent about, or a house that he loves and I absolutely hate.

Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over - an analyst and a therapist. The world's first analrapist.

my gf and i just did that, with me being the excited one and her being all indifferent. six month hellish process (pronounced short sale), where we lost 3 places we loved but finally ended up with one we liked better than all of them. (which is lucky, because i was ready to settle.) here's a tip though, if you're the excited one and he's indifferent, you can be the one to get online and pick the houses to go look at. that's what i did and i ended up with a place WAY too good for me. one that would knee me in the balls if i hit on it in a bar. even had a spot for me to do a little homage to stripcreator in my front yard:
