Thanks, Chicka, but my birthday is 9-11.  My dad's is 12-7.  I'll give him your love (just how he likes it).

I seem to remember a 9/11 themed, half-eaten cake you showed me in a picture way back when

Yeah, my friend made me a WTC birthday cake, complete with toy planes crashed in the side.

I'm seeing Radiohead live for the second time in March. Yes, I am typically/fully/some-would-argue-lamely obsessed with this band

Which is the exact channel I was listening to.  Guess that explains it.

Done it many times, including that day.  Here are the final stats.

Got it to 40.2 mph right after I snapped that pic.

Top speed I've hit so far is 48.8 while riding in a peloton down a steep hill.  One guy started wobbling out of control so I had to peel off to avoid a possible crash or I would have been faster.  Hitting 50 mph is a desire, but I don't want to kill myself getting there.

Good news.
Your cholesterol and triglyceride levels are excellent.
Your HIV test is also negative.

Congrats, Injokester!

Last night (or early this morning, rather) coming home from work, I scraped paint off the right rear corner of the car next to me. Nice lady, lives downstairs from me. Just a combination of side mirror not adjusted properly and swinging too wide. There's no body damage. In fact, I didn't feel any bump. But I heard it. I was wondering what I could get if I cancelled my cable and maxxed out my credit cards. Looks like it will be a nice paint job for the neighbor.

If you could send a picture of the damage or give me an idea of how large an area it was I could give you a quick estimate on the spot.  'Swhat I do for a living.

Pssh.  If she reports it to the insurance company, it'll probably be under any deductible on the policy.  Assuming an average shop rate of $50-$60 an hour, that damage would only cost about $100-$150 labor and materials, MAYBE $200.

Some context for that thread... back then, there was no way to post comics in the forums... stripcreator.com didn't exist yet and the site was part of lowpass.net... and the forums and, well, the whole site looked very different.

I would try to say that we were all earth-shatteringly hilarious, but most of the comics from back then are still around, so you can verify the truth of such claims yourself.

The what mentioned above is total fiction. Please don't take it seriously!

If you read that thread backwards under the moonlight while the stars are aligned, it summons mandingo from the depths to rape Cthulhu back to sleep.

I just finished building a bike.  I now understand Pee Wee's Big Adventure on a much deeper level.

I wanted a city bike to ride around town as a grocery-getter to replace my heavy beach cruiser, but I couldn't find a vintage bike that was quite right, so I built a new one.

Almost every component on it, including the frame, was made in the USA except for the Brooks saddle.  Brooks has been making saddles by hand since 1866 and after one ride on it, I can attest to their reputation as the most comfortable saddle out there.  They supposedly only get better with age if they are taken care of.

I love this bike so much, I'm thinking of changing my Facebook status to "It's complicated."
