Just one more bored chick dabbling in whatever options will make her feel ahead of the game but not leave any gaps in the "pay attention to me" area. There's nothing TO do, if you think about it. Yeah man, I can't offer any advice or sympathy, sure, I have dozens of comics about getting messed around by females, but I am so totally against touching O.P.P. I can't stand to see it happen at all, anywhere, with anyone, ever.

I'll literally drag my friend off of a girl by his penis if I know that he knows she's already taken, it's just not acceptable.

I don't have many morals, just that one.

I suppose I am the asshole here. I know I would be pissed if I was her boyfriend.

I know this feels like the biggest thing in the world to me right now, but bunner's right- in the grand scheme of things this is nothing. It'll go away, and I should just deal and stop bitching. And apologize for being a jerk.

It's not even about her boyfriend being pissed. It's about getting yourself into a situation that has very little hope of working out. Perhaps she's consciously jerking you around. Perhaps she's as messed up by being in the situation as you are. It's just seriously unwise to put yourself in that situation.

And, as was previously stated, it's also just not cool.

(Unless, of course, the relationship in question is a non-monogamous one, and the parameters of external relationships have been acknowledged and adhered to. However, I did not get that impression.)

I went out with a girl who I knew was unhappy with her boyfriend. She said she broke up with him, and we were in bed by the weekend. Sunday morning, we were laying there, and he called and I got to hear him on her answering machine wondering where she had been lately.

So I made her break it off for real and we kept going out. Surprise...she ended up cheating on me a few months later.

Moral of the story...don't mess with anyone who hasn't made a clean break from their last bf/gf and had time to think about what they want in their next one.

I think you've currently got the right idea there. You and she were both jerks in this situation. I think as long as you learn something from it, there's nothing else to do... just look back at the statement "I only fooled around with her because I thought she was going to break up with him for real" and see how big of a setup that sounds like from an outside perspective. People with no scruples will say anything to get their prey into bed, and if you're their mark, having weak willpower or little in the way of personal scruples their job that much easier.

I'll bet on one thing: That 6-year relationship ain't making it through year 7. Which is OK. Assuming you're typical undergrads, you're awfully young to be settling down. Still, you and the other two are stuck with a bunch of feelings about it. Feelings don't necessarily make sense.

I mean High School flings are one thing, but if you knew this chick was involved in a six year relationship than you should accept the consequences and not whine about it. You made a choice, now ya gotta live with it.

If you didn't know she was involved at the time, then that's a completely different story, though.

I feel worse for the poor guy who's getting cheated on, then you honestly. :/
