I'm mostly tired of the games I have. I'd like to get something new and would appreciate some suggestions.

Here's what I like/dislike:

01) No online games. I play KoL online. That's enough.
02) Driving games. I have one Rally-style game I like (Rally-Sport Challenge, I think). Also have Test Drive 5 & 6 and Need For Speed III.
03) Sports games. I have Madden football and basketball, but I'd like a really good baseball game.
04) RPGs and Shooters. Don't much care for them, but something cool might change my mind. The online factor comes into play here.
05) Sims. I played The Sims for a while mostly because I liked building different types of houses. Age of Empires was okay. Never got into SimCity. My favorite game of this type was Genghis Khan II for the SuperNintendo which I still play once in a while.

Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate 2 (Baldur's Gate 1 will piss you the hell off and the opening cinema of 2 gives you all the backstory you need), Icewind Dale, Half-Life, and Any Warcraft game other than WoW because they have a single player option.

I'm a fan of the Command & Conquer series, most notably the latest (two years ago) release, C&C Generals and the Zero Hour expansion pack. It's a really good single player game although it doesn't really open up until you're online.

Same goes for "Diablo II". It's a good game offline no doubt, but it's great online as well.

Of course, theres always the new Half Life and Sid Meier's Pirates! that I haven't gotten around to playing yet.

though its an old game, if you havent played them the tony hawk games are addictive. i'm like you where i always played madden and ea sports games but the tony hawk games are tens times better. (and thats despite the fact that the only skating i've ever done is by.) whats nice to is that if you like those, there's like 7 or so out there so you'll be kept busy for a while

other than that, i dont really have many recommendations other than about 50 for poker, which you didnt list

If you enjoy strategy sorts of things, I've heard good things about Civilization 2 and 3. Or, for a taste, you can download FreeCiv from www.freeciv.org. It takes a few minutes to get used to, and then you're taking over the world (or, in my case, being beaten into submission). A couple of my friends saw their grades seriously degrade under the influence of this series of games.

Others have highly recommended the Monkey Island series.

All that springs to mind right now.

EA's MVP Baseball. And I'm a hardcore EA-hater, so it takes a lot for those bastards to impress me. It's easily the best baseball sim I've ever played, and I'm insanely picky when it comes to baseball sims. (ie: I never liked a single goddamn baseball game ever made before this one.)

Classic text based RPG, no online capability, but it does make you think. And its abandonware. ^_^

I failed to mention that I have one of the Tony Hawk games. It might be the second one, but it is pretty awesome--especially with the cheat codes that allow you perfect balance or enable moon gravity.

I've also had lots of fun with Rollercoaster Tycoon.

I've never really gotten into much other than FPS games (technically, "shooters" are the top-down spaceship/airplane games. Sometimes done from the side, too, but usually only 2D, in any case). My personal favorites are Unreal Tournament 2004 (with tons of mods out there, you're bound to find something fun about it), Return to Castle Wolfenstein (Though, that's mainly an Online game, for the really fun portions), Soldier of Fortune II (I just like being able to blow people's arms and legs off, so maybe you won't like this one a damn bit). Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is a pretty damn fun game, but you have to be into FPS games or Star Wars to really like it.

I got into Starcraft a bit a while back, but it doesn't have a whole lot of offline replay value.

The PC is, sad to say, mainly a big FPS vehicle. Not many companies do more than FPS and RPG games for the PC. They're out there, but not as common as one would hope.

I was gonna recommend Roller Coaster Tycoon, but I see you've already been there. Simcity 4 is a lot of fun but it takes at least 512 ram to run it smoothly.

With that said, I can't suggest Deus Ex enough. It may be about 5 years old now, but is still one of the funnest games ever made.
