Cheer up my Curtious Cretinus Creative Crustacean. It was a very good strip and it took me the better part of a couple hours to come up with something I thought would be worthy competition. Normally I dont spend more than 5 minutes on any comic.

My vote is for DexX. Although kaufman normally writes really funny strips, it took me too long to get his strip. I didn't really understand the significance of the third panel until I read the strip a few times and turned my computer off. Generally, it didn't speak to my experience, and it threw in an unfamiliar word (priapism) for me to stumble over.

Now that the two competing entries are in, here is a practice strip I did with the same rules.

I'm going with Dexx. The whole "SuperSoft" concept was a bit weak, but the use of the blank panel AS the 1969 panel got extra points in my book.

I went back on forth on this several times. There's a lot to be said for both comics. In the end, the idea of plundering body parts from one's past self swayed my vote towards kaufman.
