...up my nose. At least until tomorrow. Yes, I had septoplasty! Up until surgery on Thursday I had a deviated septum:

Anyway, I can't say that I have been in any pain since the operation, but I can't wait to get the stents out. They sent me home with Percoset and Xanax, just in case the stents made me too nuts. Oddly, I've found the Percoset to be more effective.

Wow, they took those things out today and they were something like 3 inches long. They were held in by a couple of stitches. He snipped 'em and just tugged the stents right out.

Then he used something to SUCK THE SNOT RIGHT OUT OF ME. It didn't hurt, but it was... uncomfortable.

I have to go back and get that done every week for a month.

The wierd thing is... I can smell stuff. I mean all kinds of stuff I never smelled before. Not pleasant things, either.
