I'd like to announce that after one week of looking for a job i've still found absoloutely nothing.

I have -£1397.82 in the bank, and my overdraft limit is -£1400.00. After working continuously through my time at university, doing between 10 and 48 hours a week (with a couple of 62 hour weeks at one point) from September 2003 to April 2006, i find myself jobless, desperate, and bordering on depression when i need work most. I've applied to countless places and each one has quite simply refused to get back to me. I could handle even a blatant 'no because you smell' or 'sorry we don't take Irish gentlemen' or something, but to hear absoloutely nothing is killing me.

That isn't whats pissing me off.

Whats pissing me off is, while i'm doing all this, my girlfriend is in Paris. With her friend. Her friend was private-schooled and has the traditional 'rich daddy' who pays for her to live there, shop there etc. Right now they're probably eating caviar and drinking expensive wine. Around a load of sleazy french fellas.

Thats rather annoying.

She's going to be so unhappy when she comes back see's your life in shambles.

Get ready to add, "My girlfriend left me." To that list of hardships.

I just got called for jury duty.

In a state 1,100 miles away.

That I haven't been a resident of since 1997.

You better do it. I heard if you do'nt serve jury duty they pull out your pubes one by one and surgically implany them on your head. That's what happened to Don King!!!!

Sure I'll do it. They have to pay me 45 cents a mile for travel and $5 a day. At 2,200 miles round trip, that's $990.

I once calculated that jury duty paid better than Wal-Mart. I'm trying to figure out how I can be a professional juror.

This seems like a good time to announce that I will be in Memphis, TN / Southhaven, MS between June 16-19th. I actually will probably leave on the 17th unless there's a good reason to hang out on the 19th. (A better reason than having a day off work while my son's in daycare, that is). So if you want to meet my fabulous self, you should probably come on out.

And bring a pool. I need to find someone with a swimming pool while we're down there.
